SPAWN- TODD’S BACK: Todd McFarlane is taking time out from the world of action figures and collecting baseballs in order to return to the character he created back in the day for issue 185 of SPAWN from Image. With art by Todd and Whilce Portacio, this is sure to fly off the shelves as soon as it hits them in October.
HELLBOY- MIGNOLA IS BACK: Mike Mignola is back with his most famous creation for the forthcoming HELLBOY: IN THE MOUTH OF MOLOCH one-shot from Dark Horse Comics. This is going to kick all kinds of backside once it arrives.
CAPTAIN AMERICA- WHITE: The first issue of the next controversial chapter in Cap’s legacy will go on sale in October, from none other than comic legends Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale.
CYBLADE RETURNS: Does anyone but me remember Cyberforce? No? Ah well, she’s coming back with a new solo series later this year, and surprisingly it looks set to be something rather special instead of just another Top Cow flesh fest.
NEW DEADPOOL ONGOING SERIES: Everyone’s favourite wisecracking assassin gets a brand new solo series in September! Deadpool #1 is a Secret Invasion tie-in written by Daniel way with art from Paco Medina. Expect the usual amount of action, smartass comments and looking at the reader. Glad to have you back man- how’s it feel to be played by Ryan Reynolds in that new Wolvie flick?
G.I. JOE GETS NEW SERIES FROM IDW: The all-American heroes are to get a brand new series from IDW, just in time for the hype for the movie to start building properly. The series is to be previewed with a cut-price issue zero, due out in the Autumn.
INVINCIBLE 51: The next stage of this unique superhero title gets underway with issue 51, which is now available. The perfect jumping-on point for new readers, and a perfect new direction for the older fans.
MARVEL TRADES RETITLED: Volume 19 of Ultimate X-Men is now to be entitled ‘Absolute Power’, and not ‘Banshee’ as previously announced. Wolverine Origins volume 5 will now be called ‘Deadpool Premiere’ and not ‘Deep End’. Ultimate Spider-man volume 20 has now been renamed ‘Ultimate Spider-Man 20: And His Amazing Friends.’ Ooooh-kaaayyy.
