Thoughts on those WOLVERINE reshoots
I was cynical about the Wolverine Marvel comics movie reshoots when they were announced so soon after the WATCHMEN dispute between Fox and Warner Bros was resolved. It sounded like, “Hey, we have a bunch more cash now, let’s make that comic book flick a bit less tacky” or something similar. Now, with news emerging that the reshoots are intended to fill out Ryan Reynolds’ part as Deadpool from a mere cameo into a full character part, I’m viewing it as something very, very good. Deadpool is an awesome character and the idea that he’s going to be onscreen more in this film is a very cool step for Fox to take. Hopefully this means that Deadpool will be getting his own spinoff at some point. Either way, with Deadpool, Gambit and other X-men characters showing up in this film, it should be a blast.
