Doctor Who: David Tennant to appear as The Doctor in The Sarah Jane Adventures!

It has been reported that outgoing tenth Doctor Who star David Tennant is to appear in a two part adventure in the third series of The Sarah Jane Adventures, starring Elisabeth Sladen as one of the Doctor’s former companions who continues to fight off alien threats on Earth.

Executive producer Russell T Davies has stated that this isn’t a brief cameo- David Tennant will be appearing as the Doctor in a full blown crossover between Doctor Who and the Sarah Jane Adventures, meaning fans of his excitable incarnation of the famous Time Lord won’t have to wait until November for their next fix!

This marks the first time the Doctor has appeared in person in one of the spin-off shows, but Sarah Jane Smith has already appeared in the new era of Doctor Who in the episodes ‘School Reunion’, ‘The Stolen Earth’ and ‘Journey’s End’.
