Iron Man 2 footage at SDCC?

As of today, principal photography on IRON MAN 2 has been completed, and it is being rumoured all over the place that director Jon Favreau has already assembled a showreel from the new Iron Man movie to be shown at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, due to commence tomorrow night!

With the reception he got for the teaser clip from the first Iron Man movie a couple of years back at SDCC 2007, it makes sense that there will be something from the sequel at this year’s event. Many fans are hoping for their first glimpses of Mickey Rourke as Backlash and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow in action.

It is a great testament to the chemistry with the crew and the cast of the film that they have actually finished shooting slightly ahead of schedule, which is almost unheard of in Hollywood! Word is that this sequel matches the original in terms of quality and even surpasses it in some respects. That is a tough claim to match up to, but we think it may just be true.

Also on show at San Diego Comic Con will be Iron Man movie collectibles from Sideshow Collectibles.
