Spider-Man 4: Spidey to take on the Black Cat?
Sheesh, I hope this is just a rumour started by some bored fanboy. It has been floated that Rachel McAdams may be in the running to appear in Spider-Man 4 as Black Cat.
While Sam Raimi and co are looking to do more with Peter Parker’s character, this notion sets alarm bells ringing. We don’t want another cheap love triangle like in Spider-Man 3. It was bad enough without it!
A Black Cat storyline wouldn’t really work unless Fox adapted Kevin Smith’s Spider-Man/Black cat miniseries ‘The Evil That Men Do’, and while that would be awesome on many levels, it wouldn’t really be ‘epic’ enough for a big screen feature.
Hopefully this rumour will turn out to be just that- a rumour. Fans are getting high hopes for the fourth Spider-man film after the series was somewhat derailed by the third flick. Let’s get back to the greatness of Spider-Man 2 shall we? Thanks.
