STAR TREK: NEW MOVIE FOOTAGE WOWS FANS, ENTERPRISE UNVEILED

A bunch of very lucky Star Trek fans have been given a glimpse of the delights to come with JJ Abram’s reinvention of the iconic science fiction franchise, in the form of the full trailer and four completed scenes from the movie itself. Initial reactions have been extremely positive, with the action-packed trailer giving viewers their first look at the new cast that have bravely taken on these legendary roles. It does look as though the Star Trek franchise is going to see something of a resurgence. With a hot new cast and a director who certainly knows how to keep an audience gripped, I think it is safe to say that the franchise we knew and loved has returned to its roots with a bang, some style, and a bold new direction where no Star Trek project has been before. Ahem. The new version of the USS Enterprise has been revealed by Entertainment Weekly in the US, and as you can see from the online photo, the ship is looking more majestic than ever. There seems to be a bit of the original ship, some of the movie versions, and some of the Enterprise D (from Star Trek: The Next Generation) in there, all pulled together into one fine example of a starship. We’re thrilled this film seems to be the very thing to bring Star Trek some credibility again.
