TRANSFORMERS 3 RELEASE DATE? (UPDATED)

UPDATE! Michael bay has corrected that date- it was wrongly put out as 2011, he meant 2012.
The original post is below.
According to an article in Variety, the third Transformers movie has a tentative release date of July 1st, 2011 in the US. This is a nice quick turnaround for what promises to be a very impressive trilogy if this summer’s REVENGE OF THE FALLEN is anything to go by.
Fans are calling for the 3rd film to feature Unicron, the world-devouring monstrosity from the 1986 animated Transformers movie, and back when the first Michael bay Transformers movie came out, it was indeed stated that we would be seeing Unicron in number 3, so here’s hoping that promise is fulfilled. Unicron would be a logical and powerful climax to the movie franchise, or at least this part of the movie franchise.
Is it just me being a relentless fanboy, or does anyone else get the feeling that Transformers is going to last a fair while longer than just three films?
Predictions? I predict at least one of the following: A new CG TV series in keeping with the film designs, another trilogy, based somewhere other than Earth, a spinoff movie for Bumblebee, or a new animated film which would provide the 1986 film with a genuine sequel (yes yes, I know the animated movie plot was picked up in the animated series, but still, it could happen).
