Twilight: Bryce Dallas Howard cast in third film
The character of Victoria, the evil vampire in the Twilight Saga, has been recast for the third film. In The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, due to start shooting next month, the character will be played by Bryce Dallas Howard instead of Rachelle Lefevre due to scheduling conflicts for Lefevre.
Bryce Dallas Howard is familiar to science fiction movie fans as Gwen Stacy in the abominable Spider-man 3 and as Kate Connor in the less abominable Terminator Salvation. This bit of casting adds some strength to the cast of the Twilight films, which has been a tad lacking on the talent front aside from the two leads.
After seeing Bryce play good characters for a while, it is certainly going to be interesting to see her get her teeth into something a little meatier. I’m not apologizing for puns. It’s going to be fun to watch her vamp it up a bit.
