MORE FROM SDCC: TRON 2, TERMINATOR SALVATION, RED SONJA!
Well the flow of news and previews from
TERMINATOR 4 PANEL
The panel for Terminator Salvation, featuring McG, Sam Worthington, Moon Bloodgood and others filled in some more details on the project and really whetted fans appetites with some juicy tidbits about the project. A life size T-600 (the Endoskeletons that will be seen in the film) was onstage with them, and the thing looked fantastic. The panel told the crowd that this film is being approached as a war movie as opposed to a science fiction movie, which is a great direction for the thing to be taking. When the subject of Arnie came up, there was no answer either way, but I’m sure his presence will be felt in the film somewhere along the line. Personally I don’t think he should be in it at all. There’s more to the franchise than just him.
TRON 2 TRAILER- NOT A TRAILER!
The ‘Tron 2’, or ‘Tr2n’ trailer that was shown at SDCC and subsequently leaked online, causing all kinds of positive reactions, was not actually a trailer at all. The three minutes of new Tron footage shown at the convention, fantastic as it was, is nothing more than test footage for the project, which is yet to go into actual production. This is a sham, as it means the film is still a long way off hitting our screens. Reaction to the footage was immense though, and bodes well. Of particular note are the slightly redesigned lightcycles!
RED SONJA: MORE ON THE FANTASY PROJECT
The panel for the forthcoming Rose McGowan fantasy movie Red Sonja brought us some more on the film’s direction. It won’t be taking the shape of a straight remake of the 80s movie- it will take inspiration and plot elements from the 80s comics as well as the recent Dynamite comics series. It was also stated that this project has essentially replaced their ‘Barbarella’ project.

this new Terminator should be good, if nothing else because Christian Bale is in it… i wonder if Arnold will make an appearance?
